What is a Bon Appétit Gift Card?
The Bon Appétit Gift Card is a multi-brand gift card redeemable at all Cara restaurants. It is a convenient Gift Card that is easy to purchase, redeem and reload.

How do I use a Bon Appétit Gift Card?
Each time you use the Card, the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance remaining. For reloadable cards, if there is a balance remaining on the Card, it will be returned to you with a receipt showing your new balance, ready for your next visit.

The Bon Appétit Gift Card can be used in any restaurant dining room, or for take out and, at Swiss Chalets for drive through, curbside take out (where available) and delivery (where available). You can also use it when you order on-line at swisschalet.com

How can I purchase a Bon Appétit Gift Card?
There are 3 ways to purchase a Bon Appétit Gift Card. Visit any participating Swiss Chalet®, Harvey’s®, Kelsey’s®, Montana’s Cookhouse® and Milestone’s® restaurant and ask an associate for a Card. Visit select retailers across the country: Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Loblaws, Metro, Safeway, Sobeys, Rexall. Or, purchase your Gift Card online: click here.

Does my Bon Appétit Gift Card expire?
No. Cards never expire.

Are there any hidden charges or extra fees?
No. There are no fees or charges associated with the Bon Appétit Gift Card.

Are Bon Appétit Gift Cards reloadable?
All Bon Appétit Gift Cards, excluding certain older versions, are reloadable at any participating Swiss Chalet®, Harvey’s®, Kelsey’s®, Montana’s Cookhouse® and Milestone’s® restaurant, as well as online: click here.

How does reloading work?
For reloadable cards, when a card balance is depleted, simply present the Card to an Associate at any participating Swiss Chalet®, Harvey’s®, Kelsey’s®, Montana’s Cookhouse® and Milestone’s® restaurant in Canada, and ask to reload it with whatever dollar amount you choose.

Reloading works just like purchasing a new Gift Card, except that any balance you had remaining on the Card will be added to the new amount loaded, and the new balance will be the combined total.

What happens if I don’t have enough money on my Bon Appétit Gift Card to pay for my meal?
The amount on your Card can be put towards your purchase, and then the remaining balance may be paid by cash, Visa, MasterCard or debit (where accepted).

What happens if my meal doesn’t add up to the amount that is on my Card?
The amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on your Bon Appétit Gift Card and the card will be returned to you with a receipt showing your new balance so you can use it again next time.

What happens if I forget my Bon Appétit Gift Card’s balance?
Any Cara restaurant associate can check your balance in any restaurant. You can also check your balance online.

What happens if I lose my Bon Appétit Gift Card?
If you register your card online under Register Card your card can be replaced if it’s lost or stolen. If it is not registered, however, we cannot replace it.

No, Bon Appétit Gift Cards can only be used at Canadian locations.

Can I purchase large quantities of Bon Appétit Gift Cards for my company or group?

Can I use my Harvey’s Gift Card at other Cara restaurants even if my Gift Card doesn’t have those logos on it?
Yes, every Bon Appétit Gift Card and Harvey’s Card can be used at every Cara restaurant.

What are the shipping charges for Bon Appétit Gift Cards?
Canadian shipping charges are $3.49 for regular registered mail and $7.99 for expedited shipping.

How long does it take to receive the Bon Appétit Gift Cards I ordered online?
The length of time it will take for you or your intended recipient to receive their gift cards will depend on two factors – type of card ordered and shipping method chosen. If you ordered an e-Gift Card, the recipient should receive the e-mail with the e-Gift Card within minutes. If you ordered a traditional Gift Card (either a standard or customized Gift Card) we take up to 48 hours to process, pack and ship the order plus the time it takes to ship, which is dependant on the shipping method you choose. “Regular” will take 4-10 days and “expedited” will take 1-3 days.

What do I do if I forget my Bon Appétit account password?
If you forgot your account info, you can ask for a temporary pass code to be emailed to you using the email that you registered with.

Why can’t I order Bon Appétit E-gift cards at the same time as regular Bon Appétit Gift Cards?
Unfortunately, the two processes are completely separate since the traditional Gift Cards are fulfilled via regular mail and the fulfillment of the e-Gift Cards occurs instantaneously via email. The two checkout processes do not mesh with each other. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Why was my Design-Your-Own Gift Card rejected?
If your card design was rejected, it must have infringed on the Terms of Use for customized cards. Rejected cards are automatically refunded and a note is sent to the purchaser inviting them to re-order another card.
